Honest, I've been trying to look these up on my own, but am confused.

Thus I ask for your all's assistance once again.

    Are these silver?

The upper edge of the bowl is finished in a way that plated spoons rarely are. Either way, PP, they're lovely...thanks!

Was just coming back with the same! Do note that these are plated, per the GP mark and the pattern is registered per the NM mark (for Norsk Monster.)

Dang! I thought I had found some solid silver....

Thank you much @Roaring20s and @Bakersgma. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help me.

For future sake, can I ask for a tip or two as to how you got to that ID?

The NM is unique to Norway. I didn't recognize the rest, but without a fineness in numbers I suspected they were plated. We don't see Norwegian plated items much, but going to silvercollection was my first choice!

I know very little about silver. I tasked Google with some information to see what credible leads it finds for me. I started with Image Search and it did not yield anything, so words were next. That provided the NM hit, followed by the Norway connection. Then looked for a good link to post about it. :vulcan:

I've been fooled by spoons similar to these before (more than once), into thinking they were sterling because they are so well made AND the edge of the spoon. But not lately because in looking at these you can discern that the pattern is plated over and not quite as crisp as it would be if the spoons were solid silver.

    Hmm, ok. That makes sense!

Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it as I look more and more for the 'finds' some of the other members here seem to occasionally score.
