    I can't say if it's old/new,but I see influences of Pre-Columbian,Taino,Hongshan Chinese.Could be old,new or fantasy piece-very cool though.

Um... Looks a tad drafty, doesn't it. May we see the face full on, please?

Drafty? Not sure what that means. Sat in the garden enjoying the sun. I will pop in in a bit and do a full facial shot for you.

Either 'Daft' or 'Drafty' because of the hole in the belly ?

    I think it is ceramic.
    Looks inspired by pre-Columbian terracottas.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

With those two holes in the back and one in the belly, could she be some sort of a whistle??

Maybe. I thought the holes might be something to do with production. I've tried playing like a flute but not much music.

Maybe the holes are for incense sticks?

Yes it does look quite similar. Not sure what meteorite jade is. The examples don't even look like jade or even green so I am a bit puzzled by all this hongshan caper really. My thingummy looks, feels and sounds like pottery/clay but it has small fragments that sparkle.

I'm not really sure what it is either, but I'm betting those Etsy pieces aren't true Chinese Hongshan Neolithic meteorite sculptures from about 4700 to 2900 BCE.

Jade has been found in at least one meteorite, but in this case it is the latest advertising spam/scam from China.:sour:
Jade can be just about any colour.
Hongshan is a pre-historic archaeological site in China.
Very few Hongshan jades were found, and nearly all are in Chinese museums. They are much more beautiful than the junk that is coming out of China by the shiploads now.

You certainly won't find any real Hongshan jades on sales venues like ebay, etsy etc, because of a retail and export ban with extremely high penalties.
So Hongshan jade, so-called meteorite or other, is just another case of Chinese faking and advertising spam. They make a travesty of their own heritage.:(
Could be mica in the clay.
