Can anyone make out this signature

Can anyone of you make out this signature or take a guess. Painting is done well. My eyes are old.....lol

What a horrible signature. My guess on the last name would be Besch or Deich. Sorry, I really have no idea. Monty W or Morty W is just a wild guess on the first name.

 

There's something very appealing about that. What do you know about it? And in what part of the world was it found? Think date is day - month - year. Would/could you post a photograph of the back?

A Mohrbach to my eye.

 

I thought Monarch ? Morbach ? Its a great painting, really skilled hand. That ghastly frame coated in radiator paint is doing it no favors. A nice frame will make it really sing.

A Germanic name works as appears to be a Germanic scene.

Agree with Debora the numbers are Day-Month-Year but is it 19.4.48 or 19.4.81.???? Hard to figure out how old painting really is with all that gold paint on frame.. I read Mohrbach too but very little coming up on artists of that name. If the date is 81 a long shot might be German artist Thedor Marbach [1865-1945] ,but there is only one painting that I can find by that artist
