Silver Pocket watch ID

Would like to identify this watch. It is a family heirloom, acquired in France in 1917 from a German soldier who no longer needed it. Any helpful information is much appreciated

 

You can look up "Ancre Ligne Droit 15 rubis" pocket watches. There seem to be quite a few out there.

I wish I knew enough about pocket watches to help.

The inscription describes (in French) the mechanism contained within: Ancre ligne droite = straight line lever (anchor-shaped), 15 rubis (jewels), levee visible (visible table roller). It is either French or Swiss.

Another source said that the movements were mass produced, but the quality tended to be better than the typical mass produced watch of its time.

The 1911 in yours is probably good for the date of this example.

I guess quite a lot of German soldiers longer needed their pocket watches in 1917 in France, Karl Franz wouldn't have been the only one.

 

Can you open the inner cover and post a photo of the movement? Should be able to identify it from the details on the movement

what is inscribed on the inner cover ARE the details of the movement, as pointed out above, but the maker might also be on the movement
