Featured Cloisonné Vase Hallmark identification help

Hello. I am wondering if anyone could help me identify this cloisonné case. I haven’t been able to identify the mark on this vase. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

 

Your vase has tight swirls and the designs are close together. My understanding when I research mine is that that is a sign of older and quality. Newer cloisonne is much looser. I like it very much. It took me years to confirm my mark because it turned out that the studio where mine was produced used two different marks.

 

Still see mediocre cloisonne in the Thrifts-this piece I wouldn't pass up,it's beautiful.

 

Your vase is Japanese, probably Meiji era. But so far I have not been able to identify the mark.

Where did you find yr wonderful vase (not location)-shop,boot sale,etc ?

 

I believe I had found this one at a thrift shop. I’ve been collecting all kinds of antiques over the past decade and still have so much more research to do on them. I love thrift shops because so many amazing pieces go through there and are usually always overlooked.

 

All our Thrift's amazing knickknacks caught the bus & emigrated to your part of town.

 

As 2Manybooks says, it's Japanese, and it is early 20th century, probably pre WW1. The mark may be intended to be read as 宮嵜 (Miyazaki - name) or perhaps 宮竒山 (likely a place). The first character means shrine, so it's possibly associated with a provincial temple - using such honorary terms was not uncommon.

 

There are some beautiful Meiji Miyazaki vases online for $200 (& natch for lots more $). Beautiful motifs w/ an Eastlake/Aesthetic vibe.

 

Love it!!! I also thought Japanese.

 

There is also a place called Miyazaki, in southern Japan. A good-sized city now, and lots of shrines in the area.
