Featured Fish plate ID

    Using google lens, these plates are much more expensive than I woulda guessed. Why?

    Can anyone help with the mark? I was assuming it was Japanese, but couldn't find a match on gotheborg.com.

    This is a mark that looks imitative to me. Not actually Eastern? (I've been wrong often enough.)

    Roaring,given the quirks of each individual artisan, that looks almost (?) dead-on to me.You might query the folks at The Asian Art Forum ?

    These pieces are beautiful & cheaper than Halibut.Think I could get hooked on this stuff & there's lots on the net.

    Still none the wiser though. The sites provide very little info and just state imari. I'm thinking 1920s 30s by the decor. What say you?

    20's / 30's would seem right based on the piece in hand, but I could be way off too.

    I got the piece at auction with no info whatsoever.

    Whatever it's worth,it's a beauty-love the Lobster,that seems uncommon.
