Thanks for all the comments! I did see one other chain that I might gamble on but I need to wait a few weeks to go back!

As for wearing it I can double it around my neck but then it fits like a choker... I need a chain extender around 5 inches or so!

I read this post this morning and now reading it again, well really looking at the photos. I will admit to being a wee bit jealous. The chain is sensational! And the clasp! Oh, gasp it's fabulous. I'm sure you will figure out a way to wear it. I would be happy to just look at it all day. Congrats on a great find!

Lovely links, I wonder if the design is a one off as it looks very intricate. Well done on a great purchase :)

Amazing find and persistence! Good on you for being patient and pulling the trigger when the time was right. Beauty of a chain too, what a nice thing.

Not sure if I could have pulled the trigger at that price point either, but I'd have sure wanted to.

Amazing chain! To wear it doubled as a necklace, maybe you could find a short watch chain (gold filled?) with links of similar size/weight to use as an extender. You could show off the beautiful clasp on your chain by removing the clasp, then connecting the short watch chain to the two small jump rings on your chain and re-attach your clasp to the center of the short chain, and add an antique pendant or fob (you'd need a jeweler's pliers).

There's an Etsy listing that shows the general idea with two short watch chains linked together--I'd like it better with just one fob. rb.gy/8w5f1
