Thank you! I was not aware of this. There’s definitely a wide variety of sold prices.

Nice vase but I have to agree. The fact that multiples can be found fairly easily, reinforces this. Have seen some other over-the-top recent reproductions lately as well. If it seems too good to be true......

In regards to “too good to be true”, I never assumed that this is Tiffany. I do plan on selling it though, so I was hoping for some help figuring out the maker and some sold comps. Thanks again to those who helped me find sold comps.

It looks like there is some fabric or something covering the base? I agree with others -- a nice imitation. If it was Tiffany, it would be marked.

Could you gently remove (& preserve) that fabric-could there be a mark beneath ?

The base is not covered with fabric. There doesn’t appear to be any marks.

Huh. That's one weird-looking base. Odd circles.

The base has a colored wash on the base applied with a brush. I think the circles are where water or solvent pooled and evaporated. This brush wash is often seen on the modern vases coming out of China.

I agree. I noticed that the base was the same on one that had sold in the past while I was trying to research it.

Or it is an auction site with a similar item with a ridiculous price estimate. Screenshot_2023-08-17-20-25-16-12_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12_copy_1606x3569.jpg

That one looks like the original enamel on copper by Tiffany.

Okay. I will keep my eye out for one.

Exactly - and the base on mine (also modeled after a well know Tiffany piece) has the same treatment - down to the wash/brush finish, the wider outer rim, and the 4 felt circles.

Well, it seems then that it is most likely Chinese made, and sells for between $50.99- $750 (with a wide variety in between) on eBay with “Tiffany Style” in the title. A couple sold for much higher claiming to be Tiffany Pottery. I NEVER would claim it was Tiffany as I never thought it was. I only paid $12 for it so it will still be a nice profit in my opinion.

It is a NICE thing regardless of where/when it was made. Agree completely that it should not be represented as Tiffany - perhaps "in the style of". Also I don't think it should be represented as having any significant age to it(my opinion), unless we can prove it is old in some way (going to be hard to do I think with this piece).
