    Just a guess but it looks like a Gerber Baby ring. I've seen that face on silver rings before.

    Looks like a carved moonstone man in the moon, of which there are many in this world. Some are described as Victorian, but I have also seen modern ones that come from Indonesia. I see how it looks like a baby.

    Yes, technically it would qualify as a cameo: it only has to be a relief carving; doesn't matter that it's monochromatic. However, if you describe it as a cameo, this is not what most people would be expecting.

    This one is a baby, with that lock of hair, baby's nose and cute dimples. Moonstone in rose gold, and certainly antique. Beautiful ring.
    The Balinese (Indonesia) ones are of Dewi Ratih, the moon Goddess. They look different, round instead of oval, no baby face, no lock of hair, and a thin nose and benevolent smile.

    Agree that the setting is almost certainly gold. Looks like an older piece to my eye. Very well done.

    I love it ! Ive long wanted a moonstone,but the few times Ive seen them they are too rich for my blood.
