Featured Cut steel pin

Hi dear Members,

I saw this pin today at the flea market and, unfortunately, when I came back to that table again it was already gone. It's a cut steel with brass, or some other kind of metal (not sure).
I just want to ask if it is any particular type of pin, because the design is unusual for me (never saw something similar before) and to what era it belongs?
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know, it is always interesting to learn something new

 

Do you remember what type of clasp it had on the back? Will likely be one of these.

It was for sure a "C" catch, but I don't remember exactly if it was a tube hinge, but the "needle" was long. So it was most similar to the first option (ca 1850).
And I paid attention, that both "C" catch and hinge with needle were original, there were no replacements at the back.

 

Looks like it's based on a Hindu thing called a vajra (thunderbolt):

 

That's interesting... found this picture of vajra, the shape is really similar.
Never thought that Hindu symbolic was popular at that time (if pin is ca 1850, and not a later production).
