Featured copeland famille rose water bottle

    this was something i found in a charity shop
    wasnt dead cheap £15, but hopefully theres still some money in it
    thinking its gotta be 19th century
    looks based on a chinese famille rose design
    nice condition without any damage, large
    might have originally had a stopper

    cant find another example

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    Might have been a quid. I've never had much luck with any copeland/spode other than itslian spode.

    anyone with an asking price of £180 wouldnt except less than a hundred i reckon

    I would guess you will make a few bob on it going off the original asking price on the listing. Logically speaking though, it could have been a quid. :rolleyes:

    It sold for £159.97

    @charlie cheswick It's a nice find, there are strong Copeland collectors but it takes a while. I would hold onto it for a bit if you have space.

    These are properly called water monkeys, would you believe. Dudson made the most common ones.

    Here's another example. The one quid was tongue in cheek but I honestly don't think there's much about it. Its got a printed copeland mark and the decor isn't really much to shout about.
