I'm seeing nice darker sapphires. Might even be Burmese.

 

Those are all beautiful rings! I especially like the dark sapphire one -- whether or not they are sapphires.

 

When I saw @bosko69 's question I remembered that we discussed that avatar a few years ago and I had found a modern digital artist who took credit for making it and wrote that he was flattered that people were attributing it to Bourguereau. I found that discussion again. Here is the comment where I said that I found an artist named Alexander Scaramanga claiming it. Earlier than my comment, you, @Marko mentioned that you couldn't find this painting in any lists of Bouguereau's works.

It's difficult to know who to believe on the internet.

Also, I wonder whether anybody would like to comment on their current avatars on that old thread (if they want). The previous discussion was 4 years ago. It was mentioned back then that when we change our avatars they change everywhere on the site. So it can get confusing.

Maybe I will get lucky....I didn't know about Burmese sapphires, thanks, I googled them. In any event, I bought MegaMillions tickets today- jackpot is $990 million so far.
