I picked this 18k blue stone and diamond ring up yesterday for $65. I also picked up the lighter blue ring 10k, for $35. My presidium tests them exactly the same lower
range, same spot- spinel. The light blue ring is synthetic spinel- it flouresces bright pink under my black light. The only thing flourescing in the dark blue ring are some of the diamonds. I will take it to two different estate jewelers in Cape May when I go down again. The dark blue stones sparkle and glitter like crazy. What are your thoughts?

I love that synthetic spinel. It has such a mid century vibe!
The dome ring (for lack of a better term), being 18k, I would think is sapphire. Just because of the gold purity.
Can you see any inclusions with a loupe? That would be the sure sign of natural stones.
Are there any makers marks inside?

No maker's marks, just 18k. I don't think they are synthetic spinels...don't they flouresce? I also thought synthetic sapphires change color under black light. Talking about the dark stones....

It's my new favorite ring! I wouldn't pick it out in a jewelry store, but I have come to love it.

I really like the citrine as well. Yellow colored stones are not usually my favorite but the setting is nice, and not skimpy on the gold which I think suits the yellow of the stone.

Oh, I vote saphire. But only because that's what I would have immediately assumed from looking at the color. Who knows?

Probably what it was, once upon a time. Maybe the purple topaz too, if the lady had tastes that ran contrary to modern conventions.

Dark blue ring was $65. The entire lot was $165. Yeah, I couldn't believe it.

I wore that one all day Saturday on my right hand. Three of the rings, the pear, purple topaz, dark blue stones, are a size 7.
