Featured Silver Filigree Coral? Pin

    Lastly is this sweet silver filigree pin with what I think is coral, am I right? It measures 1-13/16, has a tube hinge and c clasp and is marked "HOLLAND" on the back.

    Yes it is coral, Mediterranean red coral, a Dutch favourite. The Dutch prefer that salmony red coral.
    Lovely antique brooch, traditional Dutch style.

    @Any Jewelry I found some impossibly tiny marks on the c clasp. Thought you may want to know :) I can try to take photos if you would like.

    OK, here is the best I could get shooting through a loupe. I see the sword mark, but I'm not sure which one. The other mark looks like "CZS", but I could be very wrong about that!

    Could also be C2S, but I can't find either.:(
    The sword mark is the 1814-1905 one, which was to be expected.

    The sword mark makes it .833 silver, guaranteed by a governmental assay office.;)
    925 Stamps are generic and can be bought and stamped by anyone on any metal.:(

    I figured it was less than sterling, most filigree I come across is. Makes sense for the delicate wire work.
