Those 'caged' nuggets often came from Brasil. Which doesn't help, because Brasil is one of those countries with just about every stone imaginable.;)

Yes, I thought Brazil too, but as you rightly say, that's no more of a clue. ;)

That purple one looks nice and messy. No idea what it is, but I like it.

The purple stone may be charoite or sugilite.

I had a bracelet like that as a child in the 70s. Totally irrelevant to the question, the answer to which I have no idea! Serpentine?
Is the purple definitely stone not glass?

It’s definitely stone. And thanks holly, I’ll look at those.

Kate, I’m rather fond of this wire wrapped stuff. Serpentine is a thought. It’s dark enough.

I'd bet on sugilite. I'm used to the reconstituted stuff or things closer to a solid color.

Looks like serpentine and charoite to me!

The purple is charoite. It has black and silvery inclusions. The green I can't quite see well enough, could be any number of things

I think charoite on the purple stone.

I am betting on charoite as well.
