Hi my late dad painted that picture I remember him painting it.. My dad was born in Denton Manchester before meeting and marrying my mum and moving to Newquay Cornwall where he had an art gallery hope this helps.. We lost dad years ago

 

Great find @Chris Mount! I can tell from your tone in the original post that you love this piece, and be assured you are as deserving of it as anyone! I agree with you, it is stunning. I like to imagine you keeping it, seeing as you made no mention whatsoever of selling in the original post, but given the flurry of interest be sure to get it appraised for its absolute maximum value before letting it go, and I’d recommend an auction venue with internet so that you are not cheated of a beautiful thing
