    Hi wise friends,
Need some help to see if anyone recognizes a mark on a lovely art nouveau style inkwell. I am guessing the metal may be pewter (if anyone knows differently, please feel free to speak up on that as well!) but I can't seem to make out the first letter of the maker mark.

Any advice would be appreciated as a run through GIS with the mark brought me nothing useful. A shot of the front as well on the very off chance that someone might recognize the maker that way! Thanks in advance.

I'd say mine was probably a cheaper American made knockoff of the gorgeous German one :)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Yours is lovely, too -- but yes, it was probably a knockoff of the German one.
