    Hi

I recently acquired a bon-bon dish with handle with a Royal Doulton backstamp with an additional hook backstamp.

I have not been able to find any reference to the hook mark though I have seen it on another object carrying a doulton Burslem mark

It may have something to do with the handle. If it's detachable, the dish in the link could have had one.

I suspect you’re on the right track with that. The logo may be the handle maker.

Perhaps it may be as simple as "This comes with a handle" rather than a logo for the handle maker

Is it my imagination or is the handle not quite centered? If it isn't, it makes me wonder if it actually goes with this dish.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I suppose that @bercrystal never identified the hook mark. She did recently reply to the other thread linked here, the same day as the last previous post in this thread.

I tagged her anyway, in case she has anything to say. :)

Nothing really to add to the discussions other than those plates have been gone since 2019 & I ended up selling them for a very nice profit.

In the other thread today, someone called it a "P" mark and it does resemble the letter P.
