Family took what they could and left the big stuff because they did not have big enough vehicles.

The TV is 6 foot long and 40 inches high.

Everything was high value and good quality and there was no rubbish to remove, so I did not charge to take this stuff.

It was hard work though, 3 story house with big heavy items.

I also got 3 new leather recliners.

A military rolling tool chest and contents.

    Lots of high quality tools.

    A brand new gun safe.

2 German automatic watch winder machines, they hold 6 watches whilst another 4 are getting wound up.
I did not get the watches though.

Two crates of military uniforms, including desert camouflage gear, boots, workwear and other stuff I can't mention because he shouldn't have had it.

The guy was only 58 and died suddenly after returning from Saudi.

If you remember last year, I did a job for him whilst he was home and alive, he paid me to remove some surplus stuff from his home.

He showed me his Yamaha 1700cc cruiser he had stored in the garage.

That is the only thing I did not take, its getting picked up by a specialist auctioneer very soon.
It should be televised next year.

Wowzer! Are you doing this in 95 degree heat or is it a little cooler over there?

That cruiser was pretty! Glad someone at least will enjoy it.

it's 33C here now according to my computer. My body said it was hotter, but warm weather and MS don't mix well.

We reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the yard today. It's currently 93 at 4:30 pm. I decided to hang two loads of wash up, Louie had a vet appt., and I am debating a Walmart trip.

Not entirely sure I'd go back out the door. On the upside, I did find a Waterford wine bottle coaster today... for a buck. Hard to argue with a dollar. A chunk of what I think is Murano glass was $3.

According to what Davey has said in the past as to how he handles certain items I feel certain he will handle the "other stuff I can't mention because he shouldn't have had" more responsibly than many others probably would have done.

Lizzie All you need is love ...and a dog.

Good morning all! I look at all the wonderful finds people post and I usually don't think I have any thing that is good enough to be shared. However, I think I finally have some recently purchased items that fit the bill. Including what I am showing, I also got many good named pieces, Bakelite bangles and gorgeous MOP brooches but no pictures yet. All the items cost less than $2.50. Yay!

First up: Purses...the white one has celluloid rings that the hold the ribbon. The wood beaded one I see listed as Czech but further research is needed. Its zipper has Nobility mark. The black one, gorgeous but no marks. And the mesh is a signed Whiting and Davis. All inside linings are in wonderful condition.

The perfume bottle is from the 1920's, marked House of Tre-Jur, Paris, Made in France. House of Tre-Jur has a very interesting history. I can't decide if I will keep or sell as it is adorable.

    More in the next post.

resize mirror and case 2.jpg Resize the rest.jpg And here are some more:

Cigarette case (I think), not marked anywhere so I think made in chrome. I don't know age. The mirror is signed Battani and made in the 60's. Silvering is not in good shape but still an cool piece.

The brooches: The big one, possibly brass filigree (but I certainly good be wrong) is 4 1/2" wide and 3" tall. It has a bugle clasp and I think it is a sash pin. The one with red stone is signed Czechoslovakia. The little one is brass, C-Clasp. I love the colors on the Art deco dress clip and the last is an unsigned duette in perfect condition.

The last group, the green and pink pendants require looking into. They appear to be molded glass. The chain on the green appears to be period but obviously the lobster clasp doesn't belong. I am leaning toward it being a "wannabe". The one with the pearls on the chain with the clear glass pendant may be Czech but unsigned. The MOP one is weird and I will put that one in Jewelry with better pics. The Cameo is shell, for sure and I think pretty old. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed the pretties.

I forgot to mention the bracelet, which I think is a put-together from old jewelry pieces.

    @Lizzie - Very nice haul!!! :happy::happy::happy:

When I get back home I will have a look to get the name of the perfume name that was in the bottle.

If you do plan on selling it do not clean out the perfume residue. Some collectors really like having some of the old juice in the bottle.
