But having some trouble (not sure why, must be searching something wrong :))This is a vintage Fochtenberger cologne bottle, yes? (Fochtenberger perfumes) Has a little brass screw-on cap.

The Thomas mark dates it to around the 1930’s,correct? Stands about 12,5cm tall. Thanks for any comments/help

Much appreciated, thanks for making such a effort and also for the links provided. Was not really thinking pre-1930’s (so that’s interesting) I like old ads..

Thank you for the comment. Just learned about the flapper movement (interesting :)) Wish I could also learn more about the bottle (not sure why it’s so difficult to trace,I must be missing something)

I had a look too but nothing coming up on images. Maybe it's quite rare?

You can sell it to me if you like- she'd look great on a shelf in my salle de bains!

@Boland - I even had the commercial perfume guru from the IPBA look in on the thread. She said she enjoyed seeing this unusual bottle but had barely heard of the company & had nothing to add to the conversation.

If you are thinking of selling you could contact the auctioneer that does the IPBA perfume bottle auction every year at our convention. Ken Leach is always looking for unusual pieces & he has a room full of rabid perfume bottle collectors as well as people bidding online (LiveAuctioneers) as well as by phone. He has reached some extraordinary amounts for commercial bottles.

Here is a website with lots of information.

Well that’s interesting. Many thanks for taking the initiative (going the extra mile :) ) and asking the IPBA lady to take a look. I had a look on the website and the previous auctions and Wow there’s some really beautiful and interesting bottles.

I was wondering what I should do next. But I will definitely contact Mr Leach and hear what he says. Maybe he even has some additional information on the bottle.

I really appreciate all the help. Thanks again
