Is it heretical to say I'm not a Sascha Brastoff lover? Loved the rest though. .999 (i.e. Fine) silver? Dingdingding! They missed that one!

I found this goofy thing today. I will post it with more pics in the antique general discussion board. I am hoping a genie will appear soon if I keep rubbing it.

Silverplate with a wood handle? Wrong shape for Barbara Eden. Much as Komo and others might wish.

    Handle is metal...yes, not silverplated...
Brass? Oxidized on the outside? Created a new thread on the antique discussion board. Lumii_20230707_173902186.jpg

Went to a moving sale today and I helped move on a bunch of jewelry. Someone else got the gold about two minutes ahead of me, but I got the silver and the Alexis Bittar bangles. I don't understand why people pay for them, but retail is $tupid money. I think the Tiffany pieces are legit for once; they certainly test as sterling although the fonts don't match exactly. The marquise-shape earrings are marked FAS and seem to be white topaz or sapphire or some such. The regular sterling stayed in its baggie but the Pandoras are sitting on a Pandora box. The red bangle is Angelique de Paris acrylic and sterling. There were some other non-jewelry pieces, but I figure I paid about 10 cents on the dollar original retail at most, and probably less.

Alexis Bittar prices people pay always baffled me, too.
Hit a antique mall combo eclectic stuff place yesterday. I always scour this lady's booth since she has great stuff she is just getting rid of. Thai 925, probably genuine junky diamond, $5.

The amethyst and pearl is GF Winnard, $5. Lenox adelweiss? $4, cross on GF chain is Lind electroplated, $8.

And this she gave me. Mimicking Bohemian rose cut garnets, it's glass. I have never seen anything like it, Googled for hours last night. I figure age to be 1920s-1930s.

I can't capture it, but it sparkles like crazy.

That’s probably Gablonz/Jablonec made glass. It mimics garnets and you even get pieces with a mix.

I picked up some Bittar earrings for a couple of quid once. Still on the website for over a hundred dollars!

I've never understood why anyone pays huge money for her plastic bits, but they do. I was charged $15 for all three, about top of the mark in my eyes.

I really like that red acrylic and silver bracelet. Never seen one like it until yours, and now I have googled Angelique de Paris and seen them in every color. I think I like the red the best though. I bet the light shines through it nicely!

It really is pretty when the light hits it. I'd seen glassware made this way, but never plastic jewelry.
