SIS Amazon has Necco wafers for sale.
Plus CVS and probably Walgreens etc carry them.

One of my favorite candies from growing up was Chocolate Ice Cubes.
They were shaped like an ice cube. No ice. They were heavenly rich chocolate. It was part of my penny candy splurge. Also I loved the red licorice that came in the rolled up pkg. They went out of biz and then another co bought them and the taste was not the same. Too many great candies to name.. :(

Amazon has special candy boxes made for the year you were born with all the goodies inside.

A long time ago I worked just a couple blocks away from the NECCO plant in Cambridge MA. Loved the aroma when they were making the chocolate ones!

As promised, in broad sunshine...I'll soak the unglazed ring on the base in bleach, or maybe CLR. Those stains will yield to my chemical magic.

I don't think I know Abba Zabba. I Googled it and it doesn't look familiar though looks yummy. I liked Sugar Babies a lot though, Reeses cups and Chick-o-Sticks. The list is long:D

Sugar Babies, yes, no on the reeses cups and never heard of the Chick O sticks.

Give me a nestle crunch bar, almond joy, mounds, candy necklace, those candy dots on a piece of paper, faux bubble gum ciggies etc.
There are more but those are the ones that come to mind.

I still get these in CVS once in a blue moon. Never knew the black ones were supposed to be awful. They taste like Necco wafers.

The Sugar Daddy was huge...like, 3X6X1/2 inch, onna stick. Dense, taffy caramel, an (almost) all day sucker. Maybe they played a part in my type II diabetes...ya think?

I once ate a chunky bar.. the whole thing when I went to the movies. It was not the small size, it was the movie theatre size bar. This was when I was a teen.
I came home and boy did I get sick... barfed more than my body weight.
Never had a chunky bar again.

NO, NO, NO!!!!!! Never soak pottery in bleach!!!!!!!

The bleach gets into the clay through cracks in the glaze and starts dissolving the clay. You will look at it one day and it will be covered in a spider web of white fuzzy stuff.

    Walk away from the bleach!!!!!!!!!

Well...bleach is alkaline. After I use it on anything porous, I briefly soak in a mild acidic solution...white vinegar is a common one. Been using these, an' similar, methods for decades...without issue. Thanks for the thought, though!

A bit of irony…Necco closed their operations in Revere, MA and Amazon took the property over. They had a factory store I always meant to stop in but never did :(. Necco Wafers are fantastic. Always loved the small version you’d get on Halloween in the 80’s and early 90’s. I liked the brown one despite not being a black licorice fan as a kid.
