These are a few pictures I've taked of my Dad's collection. Some of the rings look older than others. I have no doubt some of the gems were lab grown, but I imagine a great deal are natural too. Any info would be awesome. <3

I've cleaned some of the rings and wear daily, especially the amethyst ring. Do you have any idea where the purple ring show could be from? When I found it in the stuff it looked like a rusty bolt. I think it's old. Also the stone set seems unique but I'm no expert, working towards being a hobbyists though lol

Do you mean the amethyst? Could be Afghanistan, could be one of its Western Asian neighbours.

    in your 1st pic.......
all the settings , save the 2 color small stones one , are poor quality , bench made, and for a low end tourist market.
The stones , none of which seem gem quality, are scuffed up or have inclusions , making them of little value.

The loose gems on the other hand, have a much finer look to them and may be a source of better value.

    imo..

Yea almost all the rings are scuffed. I have literally totes ox ein
I can't overstate how much stuff I have. These rings I have totes full of them. Because of that I have tonsss of "costume" jewelry, but I have been sorting through the stuff and finding actual Gems. For sure through shipping, storage, and sorting they have been beat up a bit. Some of them I feel with a proper clean and polish, they would look phenomenal.

Here are my favorite rings out of the bunch I wear often, just not in public rofl...

And for the local market, that's what people wear in some regions.

Ya if my dad was correct, his friend went all over, from what I understand, purchasing stuff from people. I assume some of those people would of been in market, if not most. That would explain the totes of good looking, non Gemstone, jewelry. I'll upload pics of the totes in a bit.

With that said, my dad has 9 patents. He was legit a genius. I think he made a meaningful connection and that connection helped him build a retirement. I hope so at least... both my parents passed... I'm a single Father, gotta daughter... I gotta try and make the right moves not only for my dad, but for herrrrrrr. It all looks surreal, but I ALWAYS want the red pill. Truth is paramount

I just want to add I agree. I have hundreds of loose gems. Which are way more clear and finely cut. I also belive they are of more value. However, the set gems have a story and time was spent on them. I believe, at least to me, they have more value... to meeee, at least.. I appreciate detail and thought

I love amethysts. One of my favourite stones. It works really well with the engraved metal. To me the bracelet is trying to be damascene but obviously isn't.

It took me 5 years after he passed to finally focus on it. Was too painful before. I agree, the stuff is beautiful and shows my dad's attention to detail <3
