I've been holding my mother's jewelry since she passed more than 5 years ago - until my siblings were ready to divide it up. I've sorted through it a couple of times already but today I was going to start the final list.
I never really looked at the stones on this bracelet. It's sterling with ammonite fossils, and what I now think, thanks to you all, may be saphiret cabochons.
It was artisan made in Concord, MA in the 1980s or 1990s. There is mark on it that I can not read. I'll see if DH can get a better photo of it.
    What do you think?

Sorry - I can make the most beautiful things look ugly.

Thanks Holly and Marie. That's okay.
I'll tell you - the desirability went up by 100% when I thought it was saphiret! :D:D:D:rolleyes:
Now I can go back to thinking it might be perfect for my niece.

    One more for Labradorite.

    Perfect for your niece, though!

It looks like sterling? I avoid bracelets with that type of clasp. I lost a very nice bracelet (Robert Lee Morris sterling) because that connector came apart. I can slip one of those within 5 minutes! How old is your niece? Someone extremely active might have the same problem that I have. (not that I'm extremely active, lol)

Book, one giveaway was the date, saphiret is early 20th century until about 1930.
A very nice bracelet though, and I like labradorite.
I am the opposite, I can never get the thingie through the ring, and get all flustered.:shame::playful: Which is why I also avoid those clasps.

Ola and AJ: I have both problems! Once I get someone to put it on for me, I need a minder to ensure I don't lose it!

The bracelet is 90s or later and labradorite for sure. It comes in white as well as gray and has that "butterfly wing" schiller to it. Trade name: rainbow moonstone. Sapphiret glass...we wish!
