Identifying a Glass bead

    Hi i would like help identifying this glass bead and what its worth. its a pretty large glass bead.its a about 5 1/4" in length and 3" in width. Im just curious what type of bead it is and what its worth.Thank you for your time.

    It is called a chevron bead. In the past, chevron beads were often used as trade beads.
    I have never seen one this size, so let's wait for the others. It looks pristine.

    Welcome, Jesus...you're in good company here!
    I've never seen a Chevron anywhere near that size...Folks here won't get involved in questions about value, but there are other ways for determining market prices for such. A pic of the ends, showing the several layers, will help your search. Good luck...that's a very nice bead!

    u show 2 chevron beads.
    both look like recent Chinese mfg , rater than older Venitian trade beads...imo !

    Or even Indian, they also make chevron beads.

    I got these chevron beads in Wyoming from a friend who originally obtained them at a trade show. We were told they are six layer chevron beads from Africa.
