I went to a new-to-me GoodWill today and found..nada. Zilch. Not a thing; anything worth looking at was disgustingly overpriced or badly damaged. Glad somebody scored!

Found this a few days ago, yall know I love me a box !Nice quality for $3 ,so I had to. Though I am curious what it was for . I dont think its 200 years old,but i dont think brand new either.Correct me if Im wrong ! Its 10 inches long,8 high and quite heavy.Could it be mahogany ? Any input is always appreciated.

    Very nice box @johnnycb09!

The metal inlay on the top matches your cooking range top quite nicely. ;)

I've seen similar boxes used to hold photographs or general paper.

I bought this last week in a thrift that misses almost nothing. I didn't see any marks on it, figured it was silverplated. Was kicking myself for shelling out the 6 bucks. I was going to clean it up with silver polish this morning, and louped it for fun again. 20 inches, same one on ebay listed for $199.

I picked these pieces up yesterday:)
Delft's Handmade for Jema H. Bequet jardiniere and stand, rather tall vase that I think is Fratelli Fanciullacci Italy and my favourite piece, a mosaic by Sascha Brastoff:)
