Anyone have any thoughts about these cane pieces?

Purchased these two as a set but I don't think they are.... advertised as Antique Louis XV style chair and cane ottoman. Anyone have any ideas about them? Old? Reproductions? Value?

 

Trying to post photos - so hard on this site - I have them in media but cant pull over. I use a Mac so dont have the usual icons.

 

Do you have the line of icons over the top of the reply box? Click on the little camera (it's called Media Gallery Embed) and it will take you to your media items to select which ones you want to attach.

 

I dont have those icons - I used to but dont anymore. I use a mac so not sure if that is why... My yellow chat box is blank

 

You can probably use copy/paste directly to your post.

Sorry I can't help with the photos issue. I don't use Apple products.

Also something changed a few months ago and while I can still attach photos from my computer as before, from my phone isn't at all the same as it used to be.

 

Yes I used to post photos with questions from time to time but have stopped as it is just too painful lol. I thought I would try again as I have a backlog of interesting (to me anyway) items to inquire about! Thank you again so much for the help!

 

Maybe @verybrad has an idea about the chair set?

 

I have several other photos - If I get my icon issue fixed I will add them but in the meantime, the chair does have small metal glides on the feed and the ottoman has recessed drill holes. The chair is obv not original but I am not sure about the age of the repro.

 

I'm driving an older iMac with Safari as a browser...my pics are edited an' uploaded from Photo...I have no issues at all posting pics on this site, or eBay. Sorry that I cannot be more helpful, but that's my experience.

 

I am on my phone now and can't see details well enough to tell much. Footstool appears to be old and possibly antique. Will have to reserve comment on the chairs until I can get a better look. Some more pictures would be helpful.

 

I have just recently been having trouble loading photos. I have tried low resolution settings. It looks like they are downloading but noting shows up.

 

Is it really a "set"?

 

It was sold as a set but I don't believe it is they look to have different styles.

 

I still cannot add photos to this listing but I added more to the gallery (chair 3,4,5 and ottoman 1). Trying to resolve my photo issue but so far no luck.

 

Took a look in the gallery. I think the chair is 20th century. French style but maybe made in Italy post-WWII. Footstool is old and unrelated to the chair. I think early 20th century.
