Need help to identify the origin and age of a ceramic bowl. It resembles some of the old Spanish ceramic bowls, but I am not sure.

Decoration does look Spanish but not particularly the shape. In what part of the world was it found, Pat?

I got it in US through an online auction about 10 years ago. The bowl was simply described as a "very old bowl."

    Hi Debora,

I think you are right. After I read your post, I searched "Moroccan Pottery Bowls," it showed more pictures of similar bowls. Some bowls have one hole on the bottom foot-rings which is the same as the bowl I had.

Thank you very much for your reply!

The motif isn't typically Moroccan. But Spain has had protectorates in Morocco (and still does) so possible a hybrid piece.

I believe the hole on the bottom might have been to hang the bowl on a wall for display.
