Great bargain buy. Is the scene pewter?

Ooh, yes - it could be pewter, that hadn't occurred to me. I thought it might have been silver but using silver polish on it didn't have much effect!

Sweet. 1920s-ish. And how nice it's complete. I'd think a pot metal.

The effin' bronze is worth a fiver as scrap, if not more. Good grief.

I'm not sure what's going on in my area, but its been raining sterling the last couple of weeks. Mostly modern, but some very nice pieces none the less! The big Sezgin necklace was a euro, and the 18k gold filled chain was 50 cents. Can't beat that! I don't think I spent more than 2 euros on anything, and that was for the sets. There's 109 grams stones included, but even without their contribution I think the 12 euros I've paid total was a good investment. I told myself if I must collect jewelry it'll be old or precious, so I'm a happy bunny!

TOTALLY unrelated  but is there a resource for contemporary hallmarks? I'm always up for the hunt and some of these have a makers mark, but google will not tell me whodunnit.

I'd say you did OK. For modern marks, all I've ever found is Google and other joolies. I don't think there's a book out there yet for 1990s and later marks.

I got this antique Vienna wall clock in a clearance I'm currently doing.
It was hanging in the summer house of the property.
It had an eBay receipt inside for £325 purchased 10 years ago.:rolleyes:
