Featured Green Stone Necklace...What Stone Though?

Good afternoon all!

I picked up this necklace yesterday but I'm struggling to identify the stones used here?
Seems too pale for most of the agate thats on Google, perhaps calcite or prehnite?





Also the barrel clasp is identical(ish) to a 50s necklace I have, are we talking the same age range here or later?

50s looks right. It looks like onyx/alabaster to me, banded.

I agree but it could be agate. Check hardness. Agate will not be scratched by a pocket knife.

It is rather, I wore it over a turtleneck and it looked very nice. And thanks <3
