Featured Chinese? early english peacock dish/saucer

    hi folks

    found this pretty dish/saucer at a bootsale yesterday
    seems quite sparsely painted for a chinese piece, maybe early english ?
    no marks at all on base

    measures 4 7/8

    any info or thoughts appreciated

    Just noticed that the decoration is painted in enamels so probably rules out english I would think

    Didn't someone just post that during the war the porcelain coming out of Japan was sparsely painted? Or did i get that all wrong. Sometimes I take in only part of the info,

    It looks Chinese Famille Rose to me, and definitely antique.
    Although this has a single peacock, it reminds me of 'double peacock' export ware, most of which was made during the Qianlong period (18th century).

    Brilliant thanks Aj. I think the decoration looks old ( pre 19th) as well

    Interesting dish. Looks Chinese to me. For $15 this guy will asses Asian items and make you a custom video telling you about your item and what it may be worth on the auction market. That is a lot to pay every time you find something.
