Not extremely valuable. Have been reading interesting stories. Lots of brilliant illustrations. Very entertaining.

Wow I haven't visited this thread in a bit. Great finds all.
Love the recipe cards. I always buy them when I see them. And then sell them with other old cards or on their own.

They had a set of hen cards....left them. The boxes were $6 each. I loved the seafood cards because of the Lobster. My one thrift is looking everything up on ebay....except most of their jewelry. They even printed out ebay listings and attached them to items. Now I need a vintage recipe box.

So today, no treasure hunting. We are going to a shelter to look at cats. We lost our best boy, Fangus, this week. Out of all our kitties, Fangus was special. We adopted him from a shelter 3 hours away because I fell in love with his picture and story on Facebook. Fangus was special in that he clung to life because he loved us so much. Our other kitties, when the time came, were ready. Fangus never would be. On the way home, after a brief shower, we saw the biggest rainbow that let us know Fangus made it across the Rainbow Bridge.

Marko that price isn't too different from around here for those recipe cards.
I always stumble on the recipe boxes at sales in kitchens and basements. The old wood ones are a good buy (Weiss) wooden boxes in particular.
Be on the lookout for one when you are up to doing estate sales again.

I am sorry for the loss of you cat. I know losing a furball is tough.

Well, we put in for adoption of the middle two, a male and female bonded sibling pair. They are currently being treated for upper respiratory infections....keeping our fingers crossed the runt of the litter, the little male, gets better. Lumii_20230617_160203931.jpg
The shelter is in a thrift store, so I found this 26" amber necklace, GF clasp, $8. I am posting it on the jewelry board with questions.

After many years of not having a cat,my 1st one was a black male kitty missing half his ear. I called him Von Kitty .He was a stray who wandered up and decided to stay. For a stray he was also picky as hell ! Went thru several dry and wet foods until he settled on occasional canned (fish flavored ONLY) and Temptations ! I used to grouse at him for being so expensive to feed and he would grouse back ! Had him quite a few years then one day he went out and that was that. Fingers crossed you get those darling babies !

Today all I found were guests at my sister's house. My niece is graduating from High School this weekend. Hope Marko bags her little voids!

So sorry you lost your lovely cat Marko. Good luck with the new kitties - I hope they will bring you much joy.

Another little charity shop find - this manicure set cost me a whole pound! Just had to have it as I loved the pastoral scene on the lid. Tried giving it a bit of a clean up but it didn't make much difference! Think the tools are bone. 20230618_150033.jpg 20230618_150018.jpg 20230618_150134.jpg 20230618_150143.jpg 20230618_150210.jpg 20230618_150832.jpg
