Featured Blenko?? 16.5" decanter/stopper green crackle glass.

Purchase at an estate today. I figured even the stoppers sell pretty well, this stopper is 8.5" long.

Wondering if it might be Blenko? The base is not round, more like an ellipse. Rough pontil. Base is crackle glass the stopper is not.

Call this "olive green" maybe? Decanter is 10", to top of stopper 16.5". Thanks for the help. Anyone know Blenko?

 

Not a Blenko expert, but the pontil on your decanter looks like a Blenko pontil. Blenko catalogs are online - takes a bit of time to go through them, but you may want to take a look. There's also a Blenko group on FB that can help ID.

 

To be honest, the stopper looks more like Rainbow Glass to me. The best way to use the Blenko catalogs is to determine which color you have and check the catalog years that color was made. There are a couple of Blenko groups on FB and a Rainbow group also that could probably pin it down for you.

I cannot remember seeing a crackle glass decanter with a crackled stopper. Anyone else? The color of the stopper is too perfect a match to not belong with the decanter. I don't think it's Blenko, but Rainbow is a good one to check out.

 

Come to think of it, I've never seen a crackled stopper either.

I am no expert on glass but possible not crackle on stopper because stopper is solid glass not thin wall.

 

You might look into Empoli glass too.
