I have these little boats. They're very light in weight. And I wouldn't think much of them except for the brass tubes on 2 of them. The smokestacks are also made from metal nails.

    Anyone know what these are?
    Thanks!

the holes in the base make me think these were once on a diorama of a sort.....
could the tubes be cannons ??

I thought the tubes might be cannons too.

I was wondering if the holes in the bottom were from being mounted on a thin stick or wire so they could be painted all the way around.

Au Contraire, mon cheri...individually they are certainly quite unique! How could they not be?

I would bet they are made from paper mache' or gesso covered balsa wood - being that they are light in weight.

I think the 2 in the front are possibly supposed to be submarines.
