Possible Wartime Compass?

    Morning,

    Got this sweet little compass and wanted to see if anyone could shed some light on it at all please? I think it looks about WWII era, possibly WWI (?), but there are no makers marks, names or anything on it at all. Nice little clasp.

    Dimensions of the case approx 40mm, and the compass itself 28mm.

    Doing a bit more research, it looks like this may be a Frances Barber and Sons, circa 1890 - 1900....

    The case itself would indicate older than wwii. I would say 1890-1900 very possible.
