Brad beat me to it. No idea why I remember that word. Much commoner ones leave me looking frantic as I roam my brain trying to remember them! Ah, the delights of senior life!

I was trying to think of a friend's full name a few nights ago. I could think of his wife's full maiden name but not his. MS brain at its finest! Forgetting human names a specialty!

You can't blame it on just the ms, the rest of us are suffering similar memory issues. I'm afraid you're going to just face the fact that the years are taking their toll! I lose words regularly, can't remember names to save my soul and sometimes will remember them hours to days later but can't remember who I was talking to when I needed that word or name! Ain't it grand?

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

Killed some time at the charity store today.....

1st time I went there to kill an hour...instead of needing to get out of my own way..!

Found nothing......but...the colors were so summery ......and both local artists...so for $6.50.......y'know......fun !!!

.I thought it interesting on the vase that those little black numbers were there, like those seen on older items......plus the guy is funny with his name.

but on the plate.....the gal goes overboard, letting us know who made it !!!
    No mystery here !!!

I found it on page 217 of Fenton Art Glass Patterns 1939 - 1980 2nd Edition by Margaret & Kenn Whitmyer. According to this reference, Peach Blow Hobnail was a cased glass piece with the exterior layer being white milk glass & the interior layer a gold-ruby. It was made from July 1952 through December 1957. The line only had a total of 13 pieces.

Peach Crest is another Fenton line that is a smooth milk glass exterior with a gold-ruby interior & a clear glass edging to form the crest.

Love the perfume bottles. The Coro looks like a semi Sputnik piece.

The vase I think is Ok. But that the name is in a terrible place (an artist truly proud of his work)

Did OK last weekend. Got to a church parking lot sale before everyone was totally set up. Asked one lady. She'd forgotten the jewelry, except for two bracelets in a random spot. One was junky costume. The 14k and dyed jade went home with me. $15. The only modern piece I nabbed was a beer tap, but it has my BiL's football team on it. $5. Found the deal of the day in the churchs "free" pile - a sterling silver bracelet. Sterling over glass trivet; they're always plated but this one is hallmarked. Fossil walrus (?) tooth sculpture with pengiuns. DSCF9480.JPG DSCF9481.JPG DSCF9482.JPG DSCF9484.JPG DSCF9486.JPG
Did find a few bits at a second church sale but nothing crazy. The rest was pretty much just wasted gasoline. The "gold" ring was a dollar, and seems to be worth about that.
