Charcoal abstract sketch- Comments please

It hangs in a secondhand shop. Iam wanting to buy it (but I thought to ask the forum first) Owner of the shop is not the most ‘cooperative’ person on earth. Apologies for the very poor photos (they did take it ‘down’ ) Dated ‘78. What do you think of it? Skill of artist? Any ideas regarding the signature? Its maybe 50x65cm. Many thanks and keep well

    it's interesting..........but let it stay there..

    tooooooooo dark.....
    toooo much charcoal ...
    the shadow play...is hard to make out.....

    not worth yer time or money !!
    imo...

    I see a portrait, so not abstract. Unless done by someone known, you like it a lot, and was dirt cheap, would probably pass.
