This will be my last posting for a while so I’ll stop pestering y’all! I’m just trying to finish up a few pieces I have left and you have really, really helped me so much!

This one is in need of quite a bit of work, but I’d like to know exactly what it is before I start. I might just have to hand it over to someone who actually refinishes these professionally.

From the amount of googling I’ve done…I’m assuming 1920s - 1930’s? Jacobian style? I hesitate to call it a vanity because there really isn’t anywhere to put your legs. Maybe a small lip. It’s heavier than sin IMG_3083.jpeg IMG_3082.jpeg IMG_3076.jpeg IMG_3081.jpeg because of the mirror. It’s on castors. No markings except for a single 3 digit number. I looked in every door, drawer on all sides and this number is on the back of the mirror.

Can anyone give me any info about it? I did the google lens search and that’s how I came up with the guesstimates, but nothing is exact, nor do they mention maker or what to call it. IMG_3081.jpeg IMG_3081.jpeg IMG_3083.jpeg

Oh I do think its a dressing table but it is odd theres no leg room.Measurements would help determine that. Its a mass produced thing,if more ornate than most. You might never find out who made it.

Doesn't really strike me as Jacobean, but that would be better addressed by one of our furniture experts

Thank you! If it’s not an easily recognizable piece, I guess I won’t worry about working on it myself!

1920s dressing table for sure. Fairly high end piece for the era. Would call it traditional revival since it does not reproduce a recognized style. Contains elements of many styles. Also called depression era furniture. Doesn't look like it needs much. Would try Resor-A-Finish (walnut) on it to spruce it up without refinishing.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Here they are larger and refined a bit....but they were fairly lo-res images to begin with to enlarge.....the bent-wood end close-up looks like it probably need some more serious restoration though........

Strange, but this somehow seems like a marriage between a dressing table and a buffet, especially considering the lack of legroom. Very high style! Beautiful!!

Thank you so much!!! It’s gorgeous. It’s pretty banged up in areas. I probably don’t have enough experience to do it justice! I should probably talk to some local folks and give them your suggestion. Perhaps someone may want it as is.
