Just a few more things to show. This table and 6 chair set has been sitting for over a month and is now half price at $112.50. It is in great original condition other than newer upholstery. Still no takers at this new reduced price for over a week now.

Another occasional table at $10.00. Top needs work but it is sturdy. Would be a good paint project. No takers for 3 weeks now.

    thrifttable9.jpg

This is a particularly nice rocker. Priced at $50.00, so not dirt cheap. No takers going on 3 weeks now so I am sure they would negotiate if one asked.

Some crafter ought to make off with that table. (and put a note on the bottom afterward that it was found damaged, so no one screams down the road.) In my younger days I'd have bagged it myself and gotten out the paint.

The table and 6 chairs above is now reduced to $56.25 and still no takers so far. Have to think someone will snatch this up at that price.

A few more things found in the wild this week. This walnut marble top dresser is $150.00. I think that is a relative bargain for the quality.

This marble top wash stand is $50.00. Not sure the top is original but works OK with this. There was a similar vintage small dresser with a tan corian-type top that I did not photograph (can be seen just to the right in this pic, just barely). Just looked awful and was too much money at $100.00.

This rocker is $30.00. Just amazing how many rockers are out there these days.

The red marble dresser is stealing, considering the materials and workmanship. I wouldn't want to look at prices for solid wood and stone dressers made recently. If you can find one. That table and chairs won't last long at that price. Even if someone thinks it's ugly that's cheaper than one Ikea chair for pity's sake.

This showed up yesterday for $60.00. A lot of the refinishing work is done and it could be a very nice piece. Too bad the drawer pulls are missing, as it will cost a bit to replace them. I might be tempted if this lasts long enough to get reduced in price.

This is one I did buy. Hermann Miller/Eames shell chair for $14.00. Apparently fairly rare in this navy blue vinyl. Cleaned up very nicely despite being filthy when I bought it. I have yet to work on the legs.

Great deal on Eames shell chair. My daughter has the same one in orange. She got hers for free from a family member but in good condition these go in the $400-$600 range

That Eames chair was a real find. I'd like a go at that dresser too. Replacing handles isn't hard if you can find some that are spaced properly and either look age/style appropriate or funky/wild enough to be who-cares cool.

The stuff is out there! All from yesterday.....

This would sell better than a complete machine would. Only $8.00 so I doubt this lasts long.
    thriftsew.jpg

This small solid walnut gate-leg table was $25.00.
    thriftgate.jpg

The 70s are back..... Right!? Rarely see something like this. It is an actual Lane cedar chest. Very long and low. Despite the dirt, the vinyl cushion is in very good condition. Just some minor scuffs in the wood. Priced at $40.00. Around here, I doubt anyone will appreciate it for what it is. 99% sure this will end up as someone's paint project :(

I must say painting that cedar chest isn't nearly the crime that painting a 19th century one would be. Then again I grew up with some of that 60s "Spanish" furniture and found it hideous. Paint could only improve it if done properly.

Looking at the little drop-leaf, I have a hunch the faux wood TV cart next to it will sell first. It's total mid-mod sunroom stuff, and that sells quickly here.

    More stuff!

Seems to be the week for dressers. This refinished maple one was $55.00.
    thriftdresser5.jpg

This one is now reduced half price to $27.50. Unfortunately, this may end up in the dumpster :(
    thriftdresser6.jpg

Different thrift store from those above..... Priced at $50.00. Someone has added some weird brass medallions right below the mirror. Otherwise, great condition.
    thriftdresser7.jpg

This has been sitting for weeks and is now reduced to half price, $30.00. I was tempted but did not buy.
    thriftchest5.jpg

I don't know how vintage this is but it has a bit of the look of the Paul Frankl rattan stuff. I am seeing similar on-line for some big bucks but certainly not around here. Priced at $35.00.
    thrifttable10.jpg

Not furniture but too cute at $25.00. Really in pretty good condition too.

Ironically, I found a matching piece to the above cedar chest at a different thrift store. It is a Lane tilt-front record cabinet. It was priced a bit high at $60.00 but these sell well.
    thriftchest6.jpg

This over the top solid walnut transitional chest of drawers is $90.00. Have seen these drawer pulls before but they are pretty rare.

If the piece was really damaged I'd be tempted to buy it for the components!
