Hi! I’m new here and I hope I’m requesting help correctly. I have a set of nightstands and a powder desk, which apparently is some sort of space saving furniture. There is an identification mark on the nightstands, but not one on the desk. Just wondering if anyone knows the timeframe, name or worth. They may not be worth much. Would just be nice to know if I just ruined furniture that could be worth something

thank you for your help! IMG_2917.jpeg IMG_2890.jpeg IMG_6738.jpeg

Welcome, Susan. What did you do that "ruined them?" And what is a "powder desk?"

Looks to me like a vanity-writing desk combo. Susan, does the mirror stow away somehow?

Hello!! Thank you for your response! I actually “refurbished? them (painted :(). They were in disrepair and I’m not so good at repairing veneer.

I’m sure whatever I did will lower the value if not restored. Just wanted to know if I made a bad decision! Or if I should’ve handed them over to someone to repair. I have some other pieces, but I think I’ll try to identify them before I paint!

    Yes, the mirror stows away. (Pictured) IMG_2887.jpeg IMG_2887.jpeg IMG_2889.jpeg IMG_2887.jpeg IMG_2889.jpeg

I found this when I did a google lens search, but I can’t see any info on it. Mine isn’t blonde though. It is either stacked on top of a dresser or is a different piece altogether, but obviously in the same family? FullSizeRender.jpeg

I thought maybe they were called “Morgan Masterpiece Spacesavers” or something of the sort. Having trouble describing them.

    I don't think u harmed the piece........
dollar value depends on several factors.....and I don't see this as being in high demand........so , u did good to spruce it up ! ...imo..

I probably would have left them alone but it is not the end of the world. MCM furniture is one of the few areas of the furniture market where buyers want wood finishes right now. These are not high end designer pieces so no big deal. Your work looks great and I am sure some would prefer your look.

Thank you all! The damage to them was way beyond my scope of knowledge. I’m just glad to hear they weren’t really expensive pieces. Thanks again!
