It measures 13.5cm tall. The atomiser is in tatters but original so I’m pretty confident it’s an old one. I’ve found some online attributes to Curt Schlevogt but of course wary without an old reference source. It has remnants of an old label that I expect was a standard Made in Czechoslovakia one. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

One of my reference books (Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories by Jacquelyne Y. Jones-North) shows this bottle on page 85. This page was part of a catalog reprint "of opaque green glass, called jade glass, made in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The molds used for this glass-ware were originally made in the 1920s and 1930s."

The bottle shown has differently shaped hardware but the shape of the hardware on your bottle is shown elsewhere in the catalog. The photo also shows the atomizers with the same type of puff bulb as yours.

The book does not mention the name of the company but if I had to guess it would be Jablonec Glassworks. This link talks about the company in the last few paragraphs & mentions that they had access to the pre-war molds.

I will get some photos of the pages posted for you to see.

Now with all of the above being said it could still be a 1930s bottle because they were using the old molds.

I know one way you can spot some of the reproductions was by how the glass felt to the touch. Some reproductions were not as smooth to the touch & did not have the seams smoothed out as well as the older pieces.

Here are a couple of photos from the catalog I mentioned above.

I also checked out the IPBA virtual museum & did see a stoppered bottle like yours. According to the description, it is a "malachite bottle with Bluebells" & was part of the "Ingrid Line by Schlevogt" with the base signed "Ingrid Czechoslovakia".

That is likely why the reference made mention of the Schlevogt connection.

I could not find a photo of an atomizer in the virtual museum.

@bercrystal that’s fantastic information and greatly appreciated.

I’ve seen a couple of the stopper versions online too and wondered what that might mean - interesting some of those attributed to Heinrich Hoffman but with no evidence as to why.

I had thought the atomiser and hardware would tie it back to being 1930s but based on your book I see either 1930 or 1950 are possible.

It is smooth to the touch and the seam lines are well integrated- only one small part is even visible and that’s completely smooth.

Then there’s the remnants of a sticker - not sure what the 50s ones had but I’ve seen the same shape label on earlier ones…but clearly without seeing what it actually said I can’t be sure at all.
Thanks for all the research :)

@NTC Collector - You are very welcome!!:kiss:

Yours may be an older piece given the glass draw tube. Most companies changed over to plastic in the 1950s but I don't know about the European companies.

I think the sticker in the one you posted reads "Ingrid".

They do make replacement puffer bulbs but they don't look like the one that was originally there. I have a light gray one that came on one of my bottles but I don't typically leave the ones with the tassels on my bottles. Some years back I went to move one of my bottles & another bottle was partially on a few of the strands. It started a domino effect in the cabinet that involved several other bottles. Luckily no bottles sustained any damage but now they just get pulled off. Besides they take up vital room in the cabinet that could be used for another bottle. ;):p:smug: :hilarious::hilarious:

Anyway, if you want this one I have send me a message & we'll work out the details.
