Hello folks! My first post and hopefully it all goes well!
DSCN3428.jpg DSCN2679.jpg As a lot of people know, brass items at second hand shops are a dime a dozen and usually not worth a lot. I picked up this small dish (about 100mm, 4 inches across) for a buck quite a few years ago, only because it looked different with the cat at the centre. It looked more middle eastern to me and it had a makers mark. After much research it's got me baffled, can anybody help?

Welcome, and you did it in one go, congratulations.

Your sweet little dish is from Sri Lanka. KAA stands for Kandyan Arts Association, located in Kandy, the old capital. The small blob mark next to it is the Singalese or Kandy lion.
