A nice yard sale find this morning

Low hanging sterling chain with white glass (not milk glass) beads and double drop faceted blue glass

chain is 28” long without the 2+” drops

nice old spring ring marked sterling. No other marks found

glass beads need cleaned up a bit

I wonder if it the glass beads are French opaline?

I haven’t cleaned the chain. Despite how silver it looks with the black background, it’s true patina is represented with the white background

Pretty negligee style! I see one half of the hand-made wires holding one of the blue briolette drops is detached. Take care if you plan to wear it. I was wondering if the white beads might have had a pearl-type coating when new?

Yeah, I need to reconnect that link, it’s just incredibly tiny (or my eyes aren’t what they used to be for intricate work). I don’t plan on wearing it…. My wife might demand some answers :D

    I’m thinking late Victorian Era???

Didn't realize you were a man. I never assume based on the poster's avatar.;)

    I'm thinking 1920's-1930's; perhaps earlier.

    No worries
At first it struck me as Deco, perhaps because of the blue dangles, but then I found similar necklaces being categorized as Victorian. The spring ring only came into regular use around 1900 or so, I believe. So I thought late Vic. I suppose it could fall anywhere between then and the 30’s
