Featured old stuffed doggy

hi folks

something i picked up at a boot sale over the weekend. although he's a bit threadbare i couldnt resist him for a fiver

hes quite big 15 inches by 11

anyone have an idea of an age or maker for him ?

terrier ?

brown glass eyes, and sewn nose/feet

any thoughts or info appreciated

 

Does it have button in one ear were a tag was?

Thanks for the info, my that does look similar, albeit a lot better condition and somewhat hairier.

Just checked mine doesn't have a button, but does have a small raised knot behind one

I think the beard is not exactly missing; I think most of it has been loved off.

 

Lots of loving to that face!. My stuffy is thread bare around the middle. My sister's is in perfect condition. She sucked her thumb instead of rubbing her stuffy! It sure looks like a steiff.

Fox terrier imo. Smaller and a white base colour instead of a brown one like an Airedale. Steiff also made fox terriers.
