I'm wondering if the green stones are green onyx or something else? And would you describe this as art deco? Thanks for any help.

 

Onyx is black/black and white banding,your stone possibly might be dyed chalcedony.

 

That's very handsome. Not Art Deco. Headed more toward Brutalist. I'd call that (dyed) onyx because that's what those green stones in Mexican jewelry are generally referred to but, of course, that isn't necessarily correct.

Gorgeous, drg. I agree with dyed Mexican 'onyx', if I am right it is actually travertin.
It is an older piece, with that style and mark, probably 1940s. Stylewise late Art Deco going on to Modernist.

Not Brutalist, it is too stylised, smooth, and symmetrical. Brutalist is from the French word 'brut', meaning rough or crude. This is the opposite imo.
Brutalism in jewellery is also later than this, 60s and 70s.

 

I stand corrected. Modernist a much better choice. And very attractive.
