    Ditto.
Possibly a gouache, with those more 'solid' colours, especially the white. Nice.

Antique, what does the stamp on the back say?

Latin America somewhere to my eye. See "Wolfe" also. And "The Meyer Collection" may be a family joke. Art Deco label. Memphis Photo Supply was in business from 1906 - 2015.

The painting and signature look similar to artist Edward Wolfe. I could be wrong but they look very convincing.

That is too interesting. But I'm going to strongly disagree. I don't see the province of Malaga at all, at all. I don't even see Spain.

Everything. The light. The shape of the mountains. (That can't be snow, can it?) The building to the left painted white with a colorful horizontal stripe. The stone buildings. The excessive foliage.

I didn't say Malaga, I said Andalusia, which is more than just Malaga province. I believe it has 8 provinces, could be wrong, but definitely more than just Malaga, and a considerable diversity in landscapes and architecture.

The painting reminds me of parts of the province of Jaén in northern Andalusia, driving through valleys with similar farmhouses, and on to Granada.

Wolfe traveled through Europe, so there is no reason to believe he confined himself to painting in Malaga only.;)

You're right. I wrote Málaga province, referring to Marbella. But I'm still going to disagree with the location of this work being southern Spain.

I suggest it be removed from its frame. The answer may lie within.

Bev aka thelmasstuff Colored pencil artist extraordinaire ;)

I don't see snow on mountains - I see low-lying clouds. The houses do look Spanish to me also

Screenshot_20230517-211249_Samsung Internet.jpg Lots of similarities to this one - apologies for using a screenshot but I couldn't seem to copy the link. Moorish Landscape gives a strong clue as to location ;)

I wanted to say if this is s valuable piece or one you plan to keep it, I would replace the mount - it's dark yellow in the centre indicating it's not acid free and might be damaging the paper underneath. A decent framer would be able to do that for you and replace it with an acid free rag mount in the same frame.
