Chinese Wannabee old pot?

Testing myself here.
Would I be correct in thinking that this pot is a reproduction of an old Chinese storage pot?
The 4 bumps should have holes through them which it hasn’t, presumably to allow it to be hung or to help to seal it securely, it has a suspicious amount of sand on it and the inside looks brand new!
It was only £1 from the boot sale so not expecting it to be anything but I was intrigued by the raised bumps at the top so picked it up to educate myself!

I agree with everything you've said here about it. The 'patina' is too even, and there doesn't seem to be enough physical wear on the bottom or rim to be really old. It's a nice find for the price!

 

Either way it's a beautiful (inexpensive) accent piece.

 

I’ll get some dried flowers to go in it and pop it by the fireplace for the summer.

 

I’d have that in the garden.

 

Good plan, when I get my garden in order……

 

We got a jump on the garden this year-harvesting lettuce today ! Hard to beleive how quick it came together this year. Insane,but if this heat keeps up-perhaps berries & tomatoes soon (too many tomatoes as usual).

 

I ain’t volunteering!

 

If we have our usual 'bumper crop' i'm shipping the excess to the UK & Europe !
