OT if anyone here watches the tv show Lucky Hank, they just did some episodes on the pretentious way English Lit professors act at a college. If you can watch the show, I think it is pretty good. It is a comedy drama.
Oddly I rather like these. The "create because you have no other choice" thing resonates too. Some of the best art was made for that reason. Some of the worst too.
I like these two paintings. Don't know if I would hang them in my home, but they made me chuckle a bit. Seeing the frenzy of a K-Mart Makeover grab as Union soldiers who break through with a little help from Jim Morrison. I loved the Doors back in the day and still do. Does anyone else feel the discomfort of the uncontrollable drive to just paint and paint and paint? It comes from viewing the art and makes me a little uneasy. Like I want to walk away but can't stop looking.
Best quote "If I plan it too much, I feel like I've already seen it, so what's the point of painting it". And "Don't edit yourself." Good Advice. "Things in the real world move all the time."
