Any thoughts on this antique emerald diamond ring? Very unique style!

I thought of buying this ring for $200 but held off due to the poor condition of it... Such a shame because it is such a cool ring! The style and construction of it is super cool and unique. It appears to me as Art Nouveau? Early 1900s? The emerald is worn and one diamond is broken. The diamond could be replaced easily enough... Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I save my money?

I figured as much, its just too far gone! I liked the design overall but the quality isnt there unfortunately.

 

The design is Art Deco, imo. Poor emerald, it is too far gone.

 

A very interesting design; can see why it would catch your eye. Geometric Art Deco rather than the whiplash curves of Art Nouveau.

but , on 2nd sober thought .......

I bought a 9kt, 8 band puzzle ring....circa 1963 if I remember....cuz it entranced me and it fit.....
I don't wear it as much as I used too......( I don't wear any jewelry as much as I used to.....)... but it's still the apple of my eye !!!
I would have liked it to be 14 or 18 k.....but it was there.....and we fell in love !!!
And I paid up for it from an antique shop...

So.....if 200 bones don't break the bank.....and it fits.....and you'll love it and wear it...... I say go for it !

I'd wear it.......and u don't have to worry about it getting banged up !!!

The design is so eye catching! Are the sellers up for negotiation? Or maybe their price will soften after the passing of time. For my part I am more forgiving of flaws if I feel I got a good deal.
