Hi there and thanks in advance for any help identifying our table. We know nothing about this other than the tag fixed to the under side which I will attempt to add a picture on here.

    It states
    ROSTRAMO S.A TARGU JIU
    SIMBOL
    CONTROL
    MADE 1845 ROMAN
    C.T. C

    Regards

    Welcome hoppi.
I read 'MADE IN ROMANIA', but don't see 1845. The picture is very small, that could be it.
The date probably refers to when the company ROSTRAMO S.A. was founded in Targu Jiu, because the table looks much later than that.

According to the internet, the company was established in 1991.

My apologies folk I added the wrong picture I will upload the correct one now.

Also Google has made the table look much more impressive than it does in real life too (stupid filters it puts on).

I also saw online a company registered in 1991 too.

    Thank you all

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    a lovely table and chairs.
you seem to be missing a chair and have one that doesn't match the others.
A 1991 Romanian company mfg, so the table is more recently made.

None of this really relates to a site for Antiques, but we've been as helpful as possible with the information you've provided.

The crests mean nothing , and are just decoration.

What more help are you looking for..?

ps. this is not a site for values....

Hi and thank you, no not after a value just more around if the date stamp of 1845 is legit as the table seems very old in person but surely not that old? hence me asking an antiques website based on that date for any help understanding the table make/origins etc other than what googling can tell me and if it really is that old ( you guys will know more than most I assume).

    Thanks again all

The 1845 stamp is not on the same plane as the words MADE IN. It relates somehow to the circle stamp with ROSTRAMO and CTC. You have misinterpreted what is printed on the tag.

1845 could be the model number, or a manufacturer's code.
